Cotton Club - Logo Design
A mock logo design for the historic Cotton Club of Colorado Springs, CO. The Cotton Club was a Jazz venue started by the town popular Fannie Mae Duncan. It was the first integrated major business established in the city and thrived from the early 1950s to the late 1960s. During a time where black performers were not allowed into venues such as the Broadmore and Antlers hotel, Duncan provided a stage where black performers can display their talents and black people can commune for a night out. Some notable artists who performed at the club were Louis Armstrong, B.B King, Etta James, Billie Holiday, & Sammie Davis Jr.
